Join us for stories, crafts, touch tank and music geared for pre-schoolers (ages 2 - 5). Each month’s theme is designed to introduce kids to a variety of marine topics while having fun at the Nautical Museum. The program has limited space, so make your reservations early!

South Coast Repertory (SCR) joins Sea Tales!

The Museum is teaming up with SCR to provide dynamic and interacting storytelling!

Dates and Time:

1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month
9:45 am - 11 am at the Museum (in the Steele Model Pavilion).

Wednesday the 18th - "Ahoy, I See Pirates!"

Join us and discover what pirates are really up to in our colorful stories. Then, your child can create their very own pirate picture frame to hold a picture of your favorite pirate!

September

Wednesday the 1st - "Let's Go Fishing"

Discover the fishy adventures some of the characters from our books have on their fishing trips. Then, help your child decorate their very own plastic fish pail!

Wednesday the 15th - "Swim Sea Turle...Swim!"

Go on a sea turtle swimming adventure as we follow their journey through our colorful books. After our story time, help your child to make a sea turtle magnet!

October

Wednesday the 6th - "Sailing the Seas"

Learn about lots of different kinds of boats and sail away through our fun filled storybook time. Help your child to create their own nautical themed wind chime to take home and enjoy.

Wednesday the 20th: "Diving with Dolphins!"

Dive into the magical world of dolphins as they swim through our story time. After story time, help your child to make a dolphin necklace filled with colorful sand.

Wednesday the 3rd: "Who Lives in the Sea? "

Discover who lives in the sea as we swim through our colorful storybooks and then help your little one create their very own special craft stick aquarium!

Wednesday the17th: "Row Your Boat "

Learn about lots of different kinds of boats and sail away through our fun filled storybook time. Help your child to create their own little sail boat model to take home and enjoy!

Wednesday the 1st: "Playtime with Penguins "

Come and get in line for the march of the penguins as we waddle through some very fun stories and then into the craft center where you will help your child create a cute penguin picture frame!
